USAGE:(1.) Наречие seldom относится к группе наречий типа scarcely, hardly, never, rarely, которые придают предложению отрицательный смысл. В разделительных вопросах seldom употребляется в начальной утвердительной части, придавая ей отрицательный смысл, в результате чего заключительная часть вопроса никогда не бывает в отрицательной форме: You seldom worry about it, do you? Вы редко об этом беспокоитесь, не так ли? В предложениях, содержащих seldom, часто употребляются неопределенно-количественные местоимения any и anything: She seldom says anything.
